LIZ OATES:
A Voice for Our Community
Meet Liz
Liz Oates is an advocate and changemaker who leads with compassion and action. She is a lifelong Magna resident, raised by a working family and strong community, and learned early on that it took hard work and a deep commitment to enact change. With a career rooted in service, Liz has supported individuals and families across every stage of life, including as a licensed funeral director, and currently serves as a healthcare insurance case manager focusing on protecting members and ensuring fairness. She is also an active board member of The Oquirrh Foundation, focused on preserving the amazing, one-of-a-kind open spaces that we have in our community, and she remains deeply engaged in volunteer work.
Liz is a wife, mother of three, and a steadfast advocate for mental health, LGBTQ+ equality, disability and healthcare access, and environmental protection. Liz believes government works best when leaders listen, when they understand firsthand the challenges and strengths of their communities, and when they put people before political interests. She is running for House District 27 to give all of our neighbors a real voice at the Capitol, focused on the things that matter: making sure our state is affordable, livable, and welcoming for all of our families.
